Tennessee Legislators Considering Emergency Lanyards for Teachers

A bill before the Tennessee legislation would enable schools to purchase emergency alert lanyards for their teachers using funding that was previously passed by the state’s General Assembly this year. The lanyards would be equipped with a camera and microphone, GPS tracking, and three, color-coded buttons to address either behavior or medical issues, or an active threat. The lanyards would also alert necessary school staff or first responders.
