Registration Open for the 2024 National School Safety Conference

Registration is open for the 2024 National School Safety Conference, presented by the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) and the Arizona Association of School Resource Officers. 

This year's conference will be held at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa from July 14 - 19, marking the 34th year of the event. 

Noted speakers include Michelle Denault, Owner and Founder of Voices Carry, LLC, who will explain Grooming 101- A Predator's Playbook; Law enforcement veteran Jermaine Galloway, aka β€œThe Tall Cop,” who recently was named an International Instructor by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training, who will discuss how to deal with various substance abuse issues; and Pepperdine University Professor of Law Dr. Bernie James, who will present his research, highlighting the case law, studies, and data related to state law policies that now require BTA responses to concerning behaviors by students on campuses in light of the duty of educators to protect the school environment.  

Training and education courses will also be offered for SROs, including the Basic SRO Course (which begins Saturday, July 13), the Advanced SRO Course and the SRO Supervisors and Management. Personnel attending one of these courses will receive an additional 8 hours for the conference.
